A co-worker is helping organize a fundraiser for St. Baldrick's. No, she's not shaving her head (her daughter said, "Mom, you NEED your hair!")! But she wanted to help out, so she's organizing the event and collecting donations for OTHERS who ARE shaving their heads.
Julie lost a special godson to cancer on November 1 (just weeks after his fourth birthday), so she's pretty passionate about this cause.
Here at work, we were able to get permission to wear jeans on St. Patrick's Day if we donated $5. What a great idea!
I thought I'd throw this out there for her.... If anyone has a few extra bucks lying around (Go take your coins in to that machine at the grocery store! Turn in your pop bottles and send us the receipts!) and want to donate, lemme know. OK?
