Back to Life

So we went on our annual trip to the ocean and then school started and that means...summer is OVER.  It didn't really hit me until we were driving home from Ocean City that this was indeed the end and that all that stuff I wanted to do over the summer--like get the kids to work a little on their math and try to teach Izzy how to ride a bike without training wheels--just didn't happen.  To me, the whole summer felt like one very LONG Sunday.  We lounged around the house in our jammies until 11:00 playing or reading, then got dressed, ate lunch, and then lounged, read, and played some more until the girls had to go to their swim club.  And then every now and then we actually DID something.  Like go swimming at a friend's house, go to the library, or...what else did we do now?  Hmmm....  Well, I'm not too bummed about it.  It was a good summer anyway.
