Just wanted to let everyone know that we did decide to drop off not just Tarquin, but also Winston to the SPCA. There were some tears, and some aggravated "meows", but now that they're gone, John and I are kind of relieved. No more peeing on the carpet, no more chasing after naughty cats running out the door, no more hair balls and cat vomit, and no more RESPONSIBILITY. It's bittersweet. We loved those cats fiercely, but we did feel bad because it seemed we just didn't have the time to care for them properly. We hope they find good homes soon. We think Winston will have the best chance since he's such an adorable-looking and extremely loving cat. Think happy thoughts....

My thoughts are with you. I know an animal is a hard thing to loose, but sometimes it's better in the long run. You have 3 kids to take care of, you don't need 2 cats as well. Cinder is just enough of an annoyance, but is bearable with 2 kids.
