Out for training

No new blog entries for a while. Anyone notice? Anyone care? Wait--don't answer that!

In case anyone DOES care; I've been away from my desk at work--getting training for a temporary position. I won't even try to explain all the hows and whys of this opportunity. Basically, I've been qualified for a promotion for the last EIGHT years, and I'm getting the chance to do it--but only for a few weeks/months. The good part: it's a significant raise for the short time I'm doing it. The bad part: since the company just announced even more downsizing, the chances of it ever becoming permanent are slim to none. That's OK, I'll take the training (training is ALWAYS good) and the extra pay (even BETTER) for however long I'll get it.

So, since I'm in a different building and being trained with someone else on THEIR pc, I don't have access to my own computer and not even to my own files. And I'm just usually too tired at night to do any blogging (working on little sleep/nil brain function as it is right now. oh well). Hence, no blogging.
