Soooo tired

The weekend was all about the kids. Friday night was the Cookie Kick-Off for Girl Scouts. Saturday we went out around the neighborhood and sold GS cookies and Cub Scout pizzas. Sunday morning the girls and I did the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk. Sunday afternoon Girl Scout meeting. I tried to get housework and laundry done in the middle of it all, but...the kids destroyed EVERYTHING I did the minute my back was turned.

My friend and I had the perfect plan for the Breast Cancer Walk--go REALLY early, walk, and GO HOME. Well, our other team-members apparently didn't read the memo--so we ended up waiting at the Walk for over an hour for them to show before we got to start. But since we were in line and waiting, we were basically at the head of the MASSIVE pack that all started at the "official" start-time of 10:00.

It was kinda chilly waiting there all that time (we dressed in t-shirts and light jackets thinking we would be walking RIGHT AWAY and therefore not really cold for very long), so Mary was upset about that.

Izzy, apparently tired from the long wait, started whining the minute we finally set off on our walk. She whined all the way to the half-way point, "I WANT TO DRIVE! I WANT TO DRIVE!" (Yes, I can laugh about it, NOW!) She finally cheered up only to start crying again towards the end because she had dropped the flower Mary picked for her (which was immediately TRAMPLED in the big, MASS of people), and the OTHER flower Mary presented her was apparently just NOT good enough. *sigh*

Other than that, it was a great walk, and since we did start it late and were at the start of the group, we got to pass the huge WAVE of people as we turned around and headed back. The kids were just AMAZED by all the people (well, except for the flower-lamenting Izzy).

If your camera has a sports setting (usually depicted by a little man running or something)you should use that setting next year. All these people look like they watched The Ring video.

New camera. With NO user manual (yet). I'm lucky I can figure out how to turn the thing on and click the right button to snap a picture!
