Deck the MeMe!

Eggnog or hot chocolate? I will drink either one. I really don't have a preference between the two.

Does Santa wrap the presents or leave them open under the tree? They are usually wrapped and under the tree--unless they are HUGE gifts that simply can't be wrapped (like the bikes the girls got last year).

Colored lights on a tree or white? Contention between myself and my husband. He likes white. I like colored. But since *I* am the one who decorates the tree, guess what gets put up there? Actually, the last few years I've been putting up BOTH. I like a LOT of lights! (And, sorry, NoWheyMama, but I like them blinking!--although I don't have ALL of them blinking.)

Do you hang mistletoe? No.

When do you put your decorations up? Usually about two weeks after Thanksgiving.

What is your favorite holiday dish? Um.... The WHOLE meal.

Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? No.

How do you decorate your Christmas tree? It's a collage of ornaments we've accumulated over the years. Mismatched storebought, handmade ones by kids, and gifts from John's mother when she was around (got one either store-bought or homemade from her every year). I love our tree.

Snow: love it or hate it? Meh. I like it fine. It's the COLD I don't like.

Can you ice skate? Have only been once a few years ago. It was a GS event, and there weren't enough adult skates to go around. Another adult took pity on me and lent me her skates. I shimmied around the rink twice. I would definitely try again if the opportunity presents itself (and there are enough skates!).

What is your favorite holiday dessert? I can only pick one? Um....ANY X-mas cookies.

What is your favorite holiday tradition? New one just started last year. We watch a movie and then go to a Japanese restaurant for X-mas dinner!

Candy canes: yum or yuck? I don't go out of my way to buy/eat them, but I don't mind them.

Favorite Christmas show? A Christmas Story.
