Izzy can now read 95% of "Hop on Pop" without help!
Keith is pulling away from his cello group. The teacher is trying to hold him back to keep him with the other two students, but Keith keeps "teaching himself." He can figure out the notes just by listening to the music on the CD that is provided!
Mary is just about ready to pass the first book for her violin. (She should have passed it last spring, but I think softball just took away from her practice time too much.)

Smart kids!
If you've got a kid who can teach himself, that's awesome! Watch out for him only using that ability when he's interested, though, and becoming bored with the tediousness of other subjects. Smart kids often APPEAR lazy.
Woo Hoo! They're all so smart!
