This is the second "snow day" of the year for Mary. Usually, the school system builds in around 3 extra days just for this purpose. IF this lovely weather continues, and they cancel too many days, it may cause the school year to stretch out longer at the end of the year--which will interfere with the proposed June 21-24 dates for Geekfest.
Hey, I'm NOT missing Geekfest. Mary'll just have to miss a few days at the end of the year--when I'm sure they'll just be playing bingo or hangman or whatever anyway.
...Maybe we'll be lucky and they'll just cut the winter or spring breaks short.
