SCORE!!

Got the job! Starting TOMORROW!

Spent all afternoon confirming child care. What a pain in the butt. I think I've talked my neighbor into taking Keith and Mary from after school till 5:30. Izzy is going to an at-home women around the corner. She's not our first pick, but most of the day care centers around here are booked, or can only accommodate us a couple of days a week, or are just WAY TOO FREAKING EXPENSIVE for the ONE HOUR my after-school children will be there (after the hour-long shuttle ride to the center due to its being zoned for a different elem school) (and let's not even TALK about how much they want for Izzy).

Um....on to more pleasant thoughts.... My new job is a bit farther to drive then I was hoping, but they're paying me what I asked, and they were really, really friendly and ENCOURAGE promoting from within. In fact, they only wanted to hire someone who wanted to try to move up within the company. AND...it's practically right across the street from where John works. Maybe he and I can do lunch sometime. (Too bad we can't carpool, but John is putting the kids on the bus in the mornings, and that's too late for my 8:00 start.)
