I decided NOT to go for the other position here. The pay is technically LESS than what I'm currently making, the hours would completely mess with my life, and (I didn't mention this previously) it's Customer Service. Not that there's anything wrong with that! It's just not my thing! Especially when it suddenly changed from "suggestive selling at the close of calls" to actual "I guess we'll be needing more cold calling sales than originally anticipated." Not-so-great pay, horrible hours, AND sales? That's NOT a promotion. Count me out.
I'll stay in my current job which I actually kinda like. Maybe something else will open up for me down the road.
Maybe if they'd offered me more money....

That whole messing with your life is a big one. I could be making more money right now in a different position, but my current position pays well, is secure and totally works with my life. Sounds like you made the right decision.
